The Hands Behind
The Paws

I'm Britney, a lifelong animal lover, experienced groomer, and the sole person behind Serenity Paws Mobile Grooming. With a background spanning veterinary care, dog daycare, corporate grooming, and mobile salons, I bring a depth of experience that goes far beyond the grooming table. My approach is simple: your dog's comfort, safety, and trust come before anything else: every appointment, every time.

I am also certified in Canine and Feline CPR and First Aid, because being prepared for any situation is part of providing truly responsible care.

My Journey

From a Dream to Your Doorstep: Why I Started Serenity Paws Mobile Grooming

My love for animals started in childhood, bathing our family dog Shadow, watching groomers work through petstore windows, and spending every free moment with Animal Planet on in the background. I didn't realize it then, but I was already laying the groundwork for my future.

My journey to grooming wasn't a straight line. I studied Veterinary Technology at Mount Ida College before the loss of my father brought that chapter to a close. I went on to work in dog daycare and later as an Animal Care Attendant in the Emergency Room at Tufts VETS. That role was as difficult as it was educational; what I learned about animal health and behavior shaped the groomer I would become.

It was at Tufts that grooming found me. I discovered that it was never just about aesthetics; regular grooming is essential to a dog's health, comfort, and quality of life. That understanding became the foundation of everything I do.

I started my grooming career at a corporate salon, training as a bather before completing their grooming academy. From the very beginning, I knew I had found my purpose. But the pressure to move faster, take more dogs, and prioritize volume over care made it impossible to do the job the way I believed it deserved to be done. I moved to mobile grooming hoping for something different, and while I loved the one-on-one environment, the same pressure followed.

After years of watching an industry trade passion for quotas, I decided to build something better.

Serenity Paws Mobile Grooming exists for the dogs who need more time. For the anxious ones, the seniors, the puppies experiencing their first groom. For the pet owners who have felt rushed, unheard, or let down. I will never overbook, never rush an appointment, and never put a clock on a dog who needs a moment to feel safe. Every dog who steps into my trailer gets my full attention, genuine care, and a groomer who truly loves what she does.

This is more than a business. It's the reason I kept going.
